Catnip is non-toxic and non-addictive for cats. Not every cat responds, and a few get a little over-excited, so supervise the first session and let your cat set the pace.

Very. We hand-sort it down to mostly leaf and flower and seal it fresh, so it stays strong and a little goes a long way. Some cats get the full zoomies, others just sniff, mellow out, and settle in. Start with a small pinch and add more if they want it.

Reactions vary more than people expect. Some cats get the zoomies, others just sniff, mellow out, and happily curl up for a nap, and both are enjoying it in their own way. If your cat truly isn't interested, that's normal too: about a third of cats don't respond to catnip at all (it's genetic), and kittens under about six months usually don't react yet.

A pinch is plenty, potent catnip goes a long way. Crumble a little between your fingers to wake up the natural oils, then sprinkle it on a toy, scratcher, or mat. Reactions usually last 5 to 15 minutes, and most cats reset after about half an hour.

Keep the lid sealed and store it somewhere cool and dark, away from sunlight and humidity, to keep the oils potent. Sealed up it stays good for a long while, though it's freshest the sooner you use it.
